Why should I join a Growth Group?

Growth Groups are safe places to meet new people and grow existing relationships while learning to apply biblical principles to various areas of your life. Life is meant to be done with other people. You need people to challenge you, encourage you, laugh with you, be there when things are bad, and celebrate when things are great. To live life to its fullest, you need other people that you connect with on a regular basis. This is true not only in regards to the enjoyment of life, but also in engaging God in relationship. If you are exploring what a relationship with God means or if you've been a Christ-Follower for years, your Growth Group will help you take it to the next level.

What is a Growth Group?

A Growth Group is a group of about 10-15 people that get together once a week for casual, interactive Bible study. These groups run twice a year, for about 12 weeks long. These groups have conversation that revolves around the weekend message. The Growth Group questions are included in the message notes every weekend. Discussion will focus on applying the biblical truths from the Sunday morning message to everyday life. Growth Groups are aimed at helping us connect with other people and grow in various areas of our lives.Email Neal at Neal@ChurchAtTheBay.com with any questions you have.

What are the Childcare Options?

We recognize that childcare can be an obstacle to Growth Group involvement and our groups try to help with this as much as possible. Each group handles childcare differently depending on the makeup of the group. Many of our groups use group babysitting. Each family with kids pitches in and the group splits babysitting cost. In these situations, the kids are either watched at the same home in another room or a house close by. If you would like help finding a group that has the childcare option you prefer, email Neal@churchatthebay.com.
